Dojo
SAKURA Dojo is a branch of the Kase Ha Serbian Academy in Belgrade.
We acquire knowledge by regularly attending seminars organised by the Academy.
Kase Ha Shotokan Ryu said that Karate-Do is not a sport but a martial art which is based on the principles of ancient Budo concepts. Budo means the Martial Way. Budo is a comprehensive life philosophy which above all else emphasizes the development of moral and spiritual potential through the training of martial arts.
Our approach to training requires dedication and persistence. Apart from karate techniques, an integral part of training includes honing concentration and practicing specific deep breathing (abdominal breathing) skills, which over time, bring us insight into the internal energy system of our body.
So as to comprehend and achieve unity of mind and body, it is necessary to be of a certain maturity, as it is difficult to expect a young person under the age of 12 to understand these principles. There is no upper age limit for you to begin practising karate as a martial art, you just need to be determined and brave enough to work on yourself.
If you are interested in this concept of training, SAKURA Dojo is the place for you. Training sessions are held three times a week.
Trainings are held by JELENA POPOVIC, 3. Dan Instructor of the KHSR Academy of Serbia.
